Why doesn't all hair immediately respond positively to switching to shampoo bars?
Are shampoo bars and bottles the same?
Not exactly, which is why some people need to use the shampoo bar several times to get their scalp and hair used to the different composition.

Most shampoos in the bottle contain synthetic ingredients: SLS and silicones.
SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) is responsible for shampoos and gels' lather and dirt-dissolving properties. Contrary to myths, these substances aren't harmful to health, but they are somewhat harsh on skin and hair. Their strong action can strip them of natural protective substances (e.g., sebum) and trigger defense mechanisms, such as overproduction of sebum by the scalp. Fortunately, we can replace them!
Our Soap for Globe shampoo bars contain much gentler cleansing ingredients like coco-glucoside. When you first use a shampoo bar (like our favorite Shampoo Bar for Sensitive Scalp ~ HYPOALLERGENIC) , your hair may feel a little weighed down. Why?

A gentle shampoo bar can react with residue from previous treatments, such as buildup. However, after a few washes with a bar, you'll notice your hair is cleaner, softer, shinier and more manageable. This is because shampoos and conditioners in bars thoroughly cleanse and nourish your hair without stripping the scalp of its protective sebum. For some, scalp problems will be eliminated, as they won't have to react to harsh chemicals in traditional hair care.
Give yourself and Soap For Globe bars a chance.
Your hair and skin will thank you.
We hope you'll love this new form of care, kind to your skin, hair, and our planet. One shampoo saves one plastic bottle and two liters of water!
